Intern Vontiniece Exit Interview
Exit Interview

1. What things did you enjoy about the internship?
I loved the hands-on experience! It was so enjoyable to work on my digital art skills while creating marketing posts.
My favorite part was witnessing the behind-the-scenes process of a wedding set-up.
2. Do you think it was a valuable experience if so why?
Learning new things is always valuable.
I gained practical experience in enhancing my communication skills, particularly when interacting with vendors.
3. What did you learn about wedding/event planning?
I learned the importance of staying focused and clear during the planning process.
We had to ensure every small detail was addressed.
For example, I never considered who would collect all the decor at the end of the night since I’ve only experienced events as a guest before.
4. What was your favorite part of the experience while interning at You’re The Bride?
My favorite part was setting up for my first wedding! It was such a fun process, and I got to see all the moving parts in action.
Watching everything come together after attending a meeting with the bride and groom was so interesting.
5. What did you dislike about the internship?
When messages came in late at night on Voxer, I didn’t mind too much—this is more of a nitpick.
However, sometimes I’d wake up worried I might have missed something important.
Setting a cut-off time for communication could be helpful for future interns.
That said, I understand that when a question needs an answer, it might need to be sent outside regular hours.
6. Do you have any suggestions on how to change or make the internship better?
If there’s a way to disable email notifications for AP bookings we aren’t involved with, that would help keep our inboxes uncluttered.
While it’s helpful to have visibility into other people’s plans, it can sometimes get confusing to determine which bookings are ours to focus on.
7. In the future, do you think might be interested in helping again as a virtual office
or event assistant or wedding coordinator if you have time for pay?
I would be interested in helping out again. Working as a virtual office assistant sounds great, especially as I’m getting more consistent with checking my emails regularly.
Being an event assistant was so much fun, and I’d love to do it again.
While being a wedding coordinator seems a bit daunting at first, I think with a few more experiences as an assistant, I’ll feel ready to take that next step!
8. Would you be willing to write an endorsement for me on Linked In ? I will of course give you one too!
Yes Of Course!
List any other comments/feedback you wish to share about your experience.
I am thankful for the connections made during this process.
Vontiniece, assisted with two events during her internship and did a fantastic job! The first one she was a wedding coordinator assistant at a client wedding. The second one was a 25th company anniversary for The Wedding Shoppe where she was able to learn and utilize event planning skills. I am grateful for all of her help during the internship and have enjoyed having her on the YTB Team. She will be able to take many new skills learned during her internship with her onto her next positions and I can’t wait to see how her career flourishes. I introduced her to a couple of videographers I know since she is a video production major so I hope she will stay connected with them. It sounds like she may have a 2nd shooter video opportunity in the future which is great! My best wishes to Vontiniece!
