Eastern Market ~ Sara + Rob, 9/2/16
On Friday September 2, 2016 Tracie and her team headed down to Eastern Market, Shed 3 to begin set up for Sara and Rob’s wedding. This venue is a giant blank space, so there was lots to be done! The team worked together to get all the linens dressed on the tables, put together the centerpieces, set out the menus, supervised the rentals and caterer, and made sure the space looked picture-perfect!
Sara and Rob tied the knot at The Cathedral Church of St. Paul in downtown Detroit. It was a beautiful day with the sun beaming through the gorgeous stained glass in the church.
After the ceremony, the guests headed over to Eastern Market, Shed 3, where the reception took place. This was such a unique and open space for a reception and with a guest list of 340 it was perfect. The tables were dressed in plum linens with cylinder vases filled with orchids and purple lighting. For table numbers our bride created signs with cross streets of Detroit that were significant to the couple.
A really special moment was when our groom surprised his bride with a special live performance for their first dance song.
The guests enjoyed southern comfort food catered by Bert’s on Broadway. The cake was two-tied with fresh purple and white flowers on top surrounded by a table of shades of purple cupcakes.
Once the dance floor started to fill up, the lights dimmed and there was a hue of purple up lighting that really lit up the space. This was such a fun wedding, with a great DJ the dance floor was overflowing all night!
It was such a special day for Sara and Rob and we are so blessed to have witnessed the love these two have for each other!
A special thank you to all of the amazing vendors who made this night possible:
