On Sunday, I spent the day with about 20 other wedding planners on a Reception of the Stars Venue Tour. This is the second one I have attended and it is such a fun experience. Most locations displayed tables with beautiful linens and centerpieces. Satisfaction Limousine provided the transportation for the day from Blossoms of Birmingham. We then went to Indianwood Country Club in Oxford. Frances gave us a tour and provided delicious appetizers for us to try. Next, we headed over to King’s Court Castle at Canterbury Village. We all rode on the merry-go-round while we were there! They have recently converted a old barn into a ceremony site so it was nice to see such great use of a space. We then traveled to Dunham Hills Golf Club in Hartland which is a hidden treasure because its so far our and is beautiful. This place is fabulous and they prepared a wonderful tasting of their popular dishes as well. Although it is a bit far out they have some connections with area hotels and will give you complimentary shuttle service when you book at least 10 rooms at their hotel. Next, we went to The Lark in West Bloomfield. What a beautiful spot for a very small intimate wedding. They treated us with champagne, more appetizers including a scrumptious duck salad. Our final destination was The Heather’s Club of Bloomfield Hills. This is a beautiful venue and their chef really went all out preparing us a huge sampling of appetizers for us to try. I am already looking forward to our next tour which is scheduled for Sunday, August 1.
