Cobblestone Farm Wedding -Kelly and Dave

Sunday was a gorgeous day for Kelly and Dave. I always tell my brides that I order the weather ahead of time for them and it usually works, ha ha. They are a sweet couple who met on E-Harmony! Kelly implemented her many great ideas into a really unique celebration on Sunday, May 24th. The ceremony was officiated by her Uncle in The Pendleton Room at the U of M Union in Ann Arbor. It was nice to hear some different music for the processional as the bridal party walked down the aisle to “Seasons of Love” from the musical “Rent” and her entrance was to “At Last”by the great Etta James all played on a piano. The reception was held in a Barn with animals joining the guests at the cocktail hour! Ok now I know what your thinking but it was at Cobblestone Farm in Ann Arbor and in a very chic nice barn. Everything turned out amazing from the linens, flowers and the food. Sylvia and Christy from Bridal Beauty made all of the girls look beautiful by doing their hair and make-up for the day. Mary Ann Ross was there to play the tunes and as usual her dance floor was packed! She is the classiest DJ around I love her and she was MY wedding DJ 12 years ago so give her a call if you want a great party! It was great to see and work with her again. Ryan from Epic Motion is another great vendor who was there filming the day. It was a first for me to work with Photographer Kristen Taylor but she was great as well and I can’t wait to see the great pics! Kelly had a undergrad student shoot pictures of the guests at a make-shift photo booth being silly while using props such as old vintage hats, mustaches, banjo’s and more. They loved it and it didn’t take any encourgement from me to get it going they just knew what to do! Iced cold tea and lemonade along with beer and wine was offered to wet the whistle of each guest. I do have to say the lemondae was the best I ever had! Food For All Seasons Catering supplied the delicious food family-style for dinner. This caterer really has it together so give them a call if for some reason your hall doesn’t come with a caterer. Instead of having cake for all of her guests Kelly chose a small chocolate cake to cut from and the most yummiest cupcakes ever for the guests. If your looking for a over-the-top cupcake call this woman now Cakes By Rubina. I have to mention the cake top was 2 hikers not your typical bride and groom. They love to hike so a great way to personalize her cake. Jessie my new assistant this season was there to help organize and set-up the day and was a huge help to me! She even caught her first seating snafu and fixed it before guest arrival. Yay! It was a great party enjoyed by all!
