Ukranian Cultural Center ~ Rita and Palemon

Rita called me in early February after finding me on Google to tell me she needed help pulling everything together and that she also needed a few vendor recs. She was so much fun to work with and her wedding day turned out beautiful. They had their ceremony at the White House Wedding Chapel in Warren which is a very nice little chapel so if you are not affiliated with a church check it out. Kris and her team are great! Rita and Palemon looked great and had a really wonderful time. They both burned up the dancefloor and Palemon sure had some great moves! Will was there from Silverhook Studios filming the day. It was the first time we worked together but I have been talking to him on and off for a few years so I am glad that one of my brides finally booked him! Larry from Edwards Photography was very organized in getting all the photos done and I can’t wait to see the pictures that will be up on their website. The Ukrainian Cultural Center where the reception was held has a great staff they are so friendly and their food is amazing. The room looked absolutely beautiful and that was thanks to Thrifty Florist, Elegant Chair Covers and Living Energy provided the uplighting and gobo in the entry way. I am such a huge fan of lighting it really changes the whole look of the room so if you can possibly squeeze an extra $600 out of your budget you really should go for it! I couldn’t wait to see the look on Rita’s face and she was blown away by how fantastic everything looked. I kept telling her through the planning not to worry and that it will all come together just fine and it sure did. We can’t forget the yummy cake provided by Hodell’s. Not sure why they don’t have a website but they should really get one. It’s probably because they have been in the biz for 50 years so you can say they are pretty established! Rita’s baker fell through just a few weeks before the wedding but no worries as I have used them in the past. Their cake rocks and she even ordered a bumpy cake for Palemon. YUM! I also put together a candy buffet at Rita’s request which was a BIG HIT for all ages. My favorite part of the evening was when Rita tossed her bouquet as she went with the song I suggested. Gwen Stefani’s Holla Back Girl! It was perfect, this song had to be played because every single email Rita wrote to me at the end she would type Holla Back and that cracked me up! I heard that song on the radio one day and I told her we had to use it so that was our little joke. I will miss those emails but if your reading this Ms. Rita you better Holla Back and keep in touch! My sidekick Jessie helped me out again this weekend as this was a huge wedding party and it was really nice to have an extra pair of hands and her to help me with all the running around! Thanks girlie xo!
