Plan A Cheap Wedding Without Compromising

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life so the last thing you want to do is
compromise. But a lot of people end up doing just that because the cost of a wedding is astronomical.
When you’ve got a budget that won’t stretch to everything you want, it’s easy to end up missing things out.
Luckily for you, there are ways that you can reduce the cost of your wedding without having to make any
compromises.

Do It Yourself

When you’re planning a wedding, it’s all of the small details that end up pushing the budget over the edge.
The flowers, table decorations, invites etc. all add up to a big chunk of money. The thing is, you don’t need
to be paying a professional loads of cash to do all of that stuff for you. There are so many great Diy wedding
ideas online that can show you how to do all of that stuff on your own for a fraction of the price. All of the invites
can be made yourself, the flowers bought separately and arranged by you, and all of the table decorations can
be made at home as well. It’ll save you buckets of money and the quality won’t be noticeably different than it
would be if you paid over the odds for it.

Don’t Buy A Wedding Dress

I’m not suggesting that you turn up to your wedding in jeans and a t-shirt, but you can save money on your dress i
f you get one that isn’t specifically bridal. As soon as you add the word wedding to anything, the price doubles instantly.
The same is true of caterers and entertainment. The thing is, you can still get a beautiful white gown from somewhere
that isn’t a bridal shop. It won’t be any different but it’ll probably cost you half as much.

Supply Your Own Drinks

If the venue is providing all of your drinks for the evening, they’ll charge you a premium for it. But some venues will let you
stock the bar with your own drinks, which can save you a lot of money. If you’re buying in bulk you can get some cheap prices
and you have the added benefit of being able to choose exactly what you want so you can make sure that everybody is satisfied.

Don’t Get Married On Saturday

It’s no surprise that Saturday is the most popular day for weddings because most people aren’t at work. That also means a
Saturday wedding is the most expensive and you’ll need to book far in advance. You can save a little by booking a Sunday
wedding but if you really want to make a big saving, you could consider a Friday or a Monday. It’ll be a little harder to get
people there but if you plan it far enough in advance, everybody should be able to take the time off work and it won’t make
any difference to your big day.

Saving money on your wedding doesn’t have to mean compromising on the day that you’ve always dreamed of.
