You’re The Bride Seeking Fall-Winter Interns in Detroit

You’re
The Bride Now Seeking 2015 Fall-Winter Wedding Intern

You’re The Bride is seeking a motivated, reliable and detailed individual for
2015 Fall-Winter internship. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and
have a computer as assignments will be e-mailed to you. Previous event planning
experience is a plus but not necessary. Candidates must be able to take
direction but also be able to think quickly on their feet as situations may
arise that need to be solved with ease. Must have your own reliable
transportation and driving knowledge of the Metro-Detroit area is helpful.

This is an UNPAID position; however, an intern who successfully completes the
internship may be hired on a part-time basis to assist at future events. You
will receive real experience in the world of wedding planning and this alone is
very valuable if you are looking to break into the industry after college.

This internship may involve pre-event preparation, cold calling using bridal
lead lists, researching ideas and writing posts for the YTB blog, assembling
favors/invitations, assisting in wedding ceremony rehearsal, on-site
coordination/set-up for ceremony and reception. Other projects as needed
including planning a “Mock” Wedding that must be presented for a grade. Most of
your assignments would be emailed to you and completed at your location by the
deadline given so you are able to work a part-time job. You are not required to
come into an office setting daily but we will have meetings as needed.

Must be available on some weekends as needed. May be required to attend some
weekday and weeknight functions to include networking events, bride consults
and vendor meetings, etc. We can be flexible with the right candidate depending
on your schedule. This internship is October – March 2016. A shorter
internship may be available based on your needs for school. Please specify in
your cover letter your available start and end dates. Please indicate in your
cover letter what city you reside in when you are home on summer break as we
desire candidates whom are under 30 minutes from Farmington. If you can’t
handle long hours on wedding days (typically 12 hours plus), honor a
contractual commitment or are not a student that can receive college credit
please do NOT apply.

If this opportunity sounds like it would be a perfect fit for you then please
email your resume and  cover letter
explaining why you would like to be part of our team and why we should choose
you!  You may visit our website, blog,
facebook, twitter, instagram or pinterest to learn more about the company.
Can’t wait to hear from you! We will start conducting interviews this week!
