Garland Resort Lewiston ~ Pam and Dave ~ 10/6/12

           Though the weather wasn’t perfect, the wedding was. Pam and Dave were married October 6, 2012 at the Garland Lodge Resort in Lewiston, Michigan. Pam and Dave knew they were going to need help in planning and organizing their wedding due to the fact they lived more than 3 hours from the venue and were not sure what vendors would be available for such a remote location, so of course they hired none other than You’re The Bride. She wanted to have the perfect day and You’re The Bride was able to take away a lot of the stress from Pam especially on the day of! Before the couple could say their vows there was a lot to get done. Organizing all of the vendors making sure that every table, linen, cake, entree, centerpiece, favor, beverage, and golf carts were ready to go! Tracie and I also handled the organization of the kid’s room and other tasks as they came about. Pam and Dave were in for a stress free and beautiful wedding day!
The pampering began with hair and makeup by the White Cedar Spa and makeup by Simply-Be-You-Tiful. Pam was radiant in her simple but beautiful gown followed by her lovely bridesmaids. Though it was chilly and a bit rainy, Pam was prepared she and the girls wore colored shawls and Dave and the guys were plenty warm in their striking tuxedos. Pam carried a gorgeous bouquet of gerbera daisies, sunflowers, garden roses, and berries provided by the ever so talented ladies of Designed Sealed Delivered, who also did the floral displays and centerpieces.
The ceremony was held inside the Great Room and surrounded by their friends and families. The parents, grandparents, bridesmaids, and Pam made their entrances to some very unique and untraditional music, which was a new and refreshing change for not only the couple but the guests as well.  Pam and Dave vowed to love each other unconditionally, forever and always and were married by Rev. Crystal Yarlott. 
After the ceremony the guests all gathered in the Garland Center for the cocktail hour and reception. During cocktail hour a very special drink was served as a tribute to the lovely couple, a unique beer called Spotted Cow! Dave and Pam entered as man and wife to “Steady as We Go”, for their first dance as a married couple. Then followed the toasts by her father, maid of honor, and best man. Pam and Dave had taken into careful consideration that there would be children attending their wedding and very creatively came up with a children’s room! They had tons of fun things to do including a scavenger hunt, movies, arts and crafts, games, and much more! 
             
Dinner was provided by the Garland Lodge and Resort and the couple chose for their guests a pecan and dried fruit salad and a lovely duet of Pan Seared Salmon and Filet of Beef Tenderloin, morel mushrooms, leek ragout, risotto, and grilled vegetables for dinner. The food was delicious! Of course after dinner came the time for some fun. Pam and Dave with their loving and supportive guests tore up the dance floor to the music provided by DJ Steve Miller. The photographers, blinkPhoto, were sure not to miss a second of the action and got some great shots of everyone getting down! The couple cut their cake and provided their guests with a large variety of flavors to choose from, the cake was provided by Cascade Confections, and everyone was able to get their sugar buzz on! The night ended with the entire bridal party heading to the bar to continue the celebration until they could party no more.
