high school graduation party

As much as I love planning weddings it’s super fun to plan other events too. I was honored when Michelle, the owner of The Wedding Shoppe in Berkley hired me to plan her daughter Maddy’s High School Graduation. Since Maddy is attending Wayne State University we decided to use her new school’s color of forest green and gold but softened it up with champagne.

Originally, the party date was June 20 but due to Covid-19 we rescheduled to August 15. 50 guests enjoyed a nice afternoon at the residence congratulating Maddy on her accomplishment. Moveable Feast brought a large grill and cooked hamburgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs for the guests to enjoy along with delicious side dishes. An ice cream sundae bar was a nice wow factor and the perfect treat for the hot summer day.  Delicious cupcakes and the cutest chocolate dipped oreo favors embellished with tiny scrolls and graduation caps were also a big hit!

We used vases that Maddy’s Mom purchased and Zina from Flowers by Amore did a beautiful job arranging flowers in colors of peach, pink, white and green to compliment the forest green linens and champagne high tops.

Maddy’s Dad built the cutest bar made out of wood pallets that adorned the space and nearby drink coolers kept the guests hydrated throughout the party. 

I am excited as next year I will be planning Michelle’s twin daughters party as it’s their turn for graduation festivities!
