Italian Elegance Portrait Styled Shoot
Excited to share some images from our Italian Elegance Portrait Styled Shoot. Thank you to all the vendors that contributed and our model.
This styled portrait shoot was inspired by the Photographer’s love and heritage of Italy and the traditional style portraits he has inherited from his grand parents and great grandparents from their Italian weddings. Wedding Planner, Tracie Morris of You’re The Bride worked with Killer Creations Photography to design a simple but elegant look against grey, black and white backdrops.
Mixing patterns is a popular contemporary trend, whether in home decor or in fashion and clothing, and also seen on desserts. The Pastry Guru decided to pull inspiration from this trend as a complementary contrast to the romantic, vintage feel of the rest of the shoot. We wanted to blend new age with old age by bringing a modern style to the cake while still making sure to tie it into the shoot by using colors from the jewelry that also complimented the jewel tones in the floral.
Our model Sam wore stunning sapphire jewels provided by The Reaver Diamond Company. Sam’s makeup is a blend of fresh, timeless, and elegant. Flawless, hydrated skin balances a gentle smoky eye created with warm taupes, sooty liner, hints of antique gold, which keep the emphasis on her rich, bordeaux lips. Her hair was swept into a simple, voluminous, coiled chignon with soft pieces around the face to accentuate her neck and keep the emphasis on the details of her gown.
Dior Bridal Salon provided the ivory gown called Ambrosia, which is a quintessential Casablanca, with its glamorous tulle A-line skirt that is tightly ruched, and a soft sweetheart neckline. The heavily beaded basque waist bodice is mirrored with lighter beading along the hemline of the skirt.
Her bouquet of jewel tones in many gorgeous flowers consisting of Queen Ann’s Lace, Stock, Spray Roses,Delphinium, Israeli Ruscus and more in a handcrafted bouquet from Blumz. A garland in many of the same beautiful flowers was used to accent the antique chair and love seat that she so eloquently posed in.
