Planning A Last-Minute Wedding? 7 Tips to Stay Sane

Need a last-minute wedding planning checklist? Gone are the days when weddings were structured and strict, and engagements lasted almost a lifetime. These days,
couples have the freedom to plan their big day in a way that is special to them. While some choose to plan years in advance,
others prefer to enter married life as soon as possible. If you’re with the latter, then a last-minute wedding could be on the cards.
Planning such a special event can be an incredibly exciting process, but, as you can imagine, it can also be very stressful. To help
you stay sane, here are seven things that you should do.

1. Write Out A Checklist

With so much to get done in such a short space of time, no one would blame you for forgetting to book or buy one thing or another.
The only issue is that this is your wedding day, and, as such, forgetting any of these things could result in a disaster that spoils your
great mood. To avoid any unnecessary stress or panic, you should write out a checklist of everything you need to do before your big day.
Make sure you tick this off as you complete your wedding planning tasks.

2. Start With The Essentials
We all look forward to different things when planning weddings. While some of us can’t wait to find the perfect dress, others are all about
the wedding photography. Whatever your essentials are, make sure that you start with those things first. Wedding venues can be booked
up for years in advance, so finding somewhere to host your big day should be pretty high up in your priorities. After all, there’s no use in booking
anything else if you have nowhere to have a wedding anyway.

3. Choose The Right Day
Most people plan their wedding for on a Saturday, with Fridays and Thursdays also being popular choices. This means that many vendors and
venues will already be booked up on these days. With that in mind, you should consider planning your big day for a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday,
or Wednesday. This gives you a much better chance of securing the venues and vendors that you are most excited about. If you can be flexible
about the time too, that can also be a big help.

4. Skip Save The Dates
Although many couples like to send out save-the-date cards before their real wedding invitations, those planning their big day last-minute don’t
always have time to do so. After all, the longer you leave it to let potential guests know about your wedding, the less chance there is that they’re
actually going to be able to attend. For this reason, you should skip these cards and instead send out emails or texts once you’ve booked your venue.
Then, you can send out your invites.

5. Try Doing It Yourself
Booking your wedding for a less popular day can increase your chances of securing vendors, but it can’t guarantee that you’ll be able to book everything
that you need. If you’re struggling to find a baker or florist to help you on short notice, then try handling these tasks yourself. As long as you’re not looking
to create anything too extravagant, you should be able to arrange a bouquet and bake a simple wedding cake alone. If this isn’t possible, then try asking a
friend for help.

6. Ask For A Hand
Planning a wedding is not a simple job. It requires a lot of thought and work, and, as such, can be an overwhelming task for just one person or couple.
To take the pressure off you and your partner, you should try asking those closest to you to lend a hand. There are plenty of ways for them to help you out,
from baking your cake to walking your dog. Professional help can also offer peace of mind, so consider hiring a wedding planner to assist you in planning
your big day.

7. Learn To Make Sacrifices
Wedding are incredibly expensive, and only get more so when you leave things to the last minute. For this reason, you need to consider your budget
carefully before you go ahead and book anything. Make sure that you know what your priorities are and only spend more than absolutely necessary
on the features that are most important to you. There are plenty of ways to save some money, but you can only do so if you plan with your head instead
of your heart.

Planning a last-minute wedding can be tricky, but, hopefully, with these tips, you can make the process easier and a lot more fun.
