There is something so special about being part of a surprise engagement proposal, and Sahil and Dhruma’s Belle Isle engagement proposal was one we were so excited to help bring to life!
Sahil contacted You’re The Bride the week of the proposal looking for help planning the perfect moment to ask his sweetheart, Dhruma, to marry him. Even with a short planning window, we were excited to jump in and help create a romantic and memorable experience for the two of them.
With its beautiful scenery and views of Detroit, Belle Isle created the perfect backdrop for such an important moment.
Creating the Perfect Proposal Moment
As Sahil and Dhruma made their way toward the picturesque proposal location on Belle Isle, violinist Rodney Page helped set the mood with beautiful live music. The sound of the violin combined with the scenery made their walk toward the proposal even more romantic.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for—Sahil asked Dhruma to marry him!
She Said Yes!
And she said YES!
Watching the proposal unfold was such an exciting experience for our team. After all of the planning and anticipation, we couldn’t wait to congratulate the newly engaged couple!
Their photographer captured the moment along with beautiful portraits afterward, including photos of Dhruma’s gorgeous new engagement ring.
Sahil also created a special memory board for Dhruma, adding an incredibly personal touch to the experience. Incorporating meaningful details like photographs, memories, music, or favorite places can make an engagement proposal feel even more personal to the couple.

Celebrating the Engagement
The celebration didn’t end on Belle Isle. Following the proposal, Sahil and Dhruma enjoyed a romantic dinner for two at Andiamo Riverfront.
From the live violin music and meaningful memory board to the proposal itself and intimate dinner afterward, Sahil created an experience that was thoughtful, romantic, and personal to their relationship.
