I don’t even know where to begin with this couple. They are just the sweetest most down to earth couple and I adore them. They were referred to me by my good friend Josh at Thomas’s Catering whom is the exclusive caterer at the Sacred Heart Banquet and Conference Center in Livonia.
So happy that they are finally married !

I love when my couple’s do a quick prayer together and hold hands without actually seeing each other before the ceremony. Makes it even more exciting and builds the anticipation for what is about to happen!

We really went all out on the fall decor. I loved the rich burgundy color palette that the couple chose. Heck it is a You’re The Bride color so how could I not ?
Ah yes the Mariachi band…challenge of the last week before the big day but we found one quickly and made it happen ! It was a fabulous addition to this spectacular event!

Julissa custom made all of the designs on these pumpkins. I think they turned out great and added a little bling to the day! The D is for Dawson which ironically was my late grandparents lat name!

The food prepared by Thomas’s was delicious and always is. They are our favorite caterer!
They even played a round of the shoe game. Mat the DJ from Elysium actually learned Spanish so he could make the announcements for the evening in both English and Spanish. He did a great job and the couple and I really appreciate his dedication so it was a smooth night!
I was so happy to be involved in the planning of this wedding. It was truly a pleasure to get to know Matt and Julissa and take them on the journey of the crazy world of wedding planning. We made a great team!

Matt is from Nebraska and a HUGE Huskers fan so Julissa surprised her new hubby with a cake!
We want to give a BIG shout out to our new friends at Handi-D-Dip Dairy Barn in Livonia.
In the early stages of the planning Matt expressed an interest in having a special ice cream called Dole Whip Pineapple that his brother loved. This was so important because his brother is unable to eat regular food so we wanted to make sure he had something that he could eat that day. After searching for a machine to accommodate our needs of 200 plus guests as well as his brother to no availability we were feeling dissapointment. I explanied the situation to my contact Cathy and she offered to provide the groom’s brother with complimentary ice cream! I couldn’t believe the generosity and how much she cared about the event and the special dietary needs of the special guest. I picked up 2 pints, one vanilla and the other of course the pineapple and boy was he surprised by this special treat!
