Wedding Vendor Contracts

Before you sign on the dotted line, you need to make sure you go over everything with your vendor. Many times there are hidden details within the fine print that a vendor will intentionally not mention. Here are some guidelines to follow to make sure you are getting the best quality service and price available:

*Shop Around- Don’t settle on the first vendor you meet with, talking to other vendors can open your eyes and give you a better idea what you really want for your wedding. It will also allow you to check different price points based on services offered so you can find the best deal.

*Read the Contract- Even if your vendor gives you a “run down” of what is in there, make sure you read it over anyways. If there is anything you are unsure of, ask questions!

*No Verbal Contracts- Make sure to write down everything and include it in the contract, not just verbally agreeing. You will not be able to hold anything against them if it is not in writing

*The Deposit or Retainer- Most deposits are non-refundable and can be pretty expensive, so make sure you are 100% sure you are going to stick with that vendor
