Inside The You’re The Bride Intern Experience
At the end of the season we ask our interns to complete a exit interview so we can find out what they
thought about the experience and how we can make it better. Here is what one of our recent intern’s
thought about her experience.
What things did you enjoy about the internship?
I loved learning so much about
the industry and how to deal with vendors and clients in a professional manner,
as well as how a small business operates. Also how to deal with client
conflicts.
Do you think it was a valuable experience?
Yes, it gave me a lot of
insight on how the industry works and how many things go into the wedding
planning process as well as how to deal with so many different vendors and get
everything coordinated just right.
What was your favorite part of the experience while
interning at You’re The Bride?
My favorite part
was the mock wedding project we got to do at the end, it was awesome to plan
something with creative freedom as well as all of the weddings, getting to see
all of the halls after they were set up and guests were entering was awesome!
What did you dislike about the internship?
The only thing is that towards the end, it got really
hard to be creative and come up with new topics for the blog that hadn’t been
done before, and i didn’t want to repeat anything
so it was somewhat of a struggle to find new and creative stuff.
Do you have any suggestions on how to change or
make the internship better?
at this time that I can think of
Do you still have plans to either become a wedding
planner while working for someone else or starting your own wedding business?
Its still in my mind but I think I am looking more
towards corporate event planning for things like launch parties, I think it
would be really interesting to sell a product and market it through an event
and get to plan it all.
