Pontiac Transportation Museum Styled Shoot
Pontiac Transportation Museum Styled Shoot was a celebration of creativity and collaboration, designed to showcase the hidden potential as an enchanting up and coming wedding venue in Metro Detroit. This ambitious project was fueled by the museum’s rich historical backdrop and unique spatial characteristics, promising couples a truly unforgettable setting for their special day.
As a wedding planner, I was honored to be part of this special Styled Shoot for the Pontiac Transportation Museum. Collaborating with another wedding planner- Lynne, we orchestrated the event and curated an outstanding team of vendors to ensure every detail was perfectly executed.
First, we invested significant time communicating with the Pontiac Transportation Museum team to understand their vision and goals for the newest Metro Detroit wedding venue. We delved into their desire to transform the venue into a wedding space and worked creatively to turn this into a reality.
We reached out to various vendors including photographers, makeup artists, hair stylists, decorators, and florists, ensuring each person could showcase their professional skills and creativity in this Styled Shoot.
This styled shoot was inspired from the 75-year-old china dishes belonging to the aunt of wedding planner, Tracie Morris of You’re The Bride, which featured a springtime floral design. Flowers By Amore adorned the tabletop with several vases filled with flowers to complement the colors of the dishes.
A Thousand Words Photography and 97 Films collaborated to capture the magic that was created in the space.
Our models, Cassie and Brett, adorned Gina’s Bridal’s stunning gown while her makeup, by Brie Artistry, was a blend of fresh, timeless, and elegant. Her hairstyle, simple yet voluminous, accentuated her neck and highlighted the gown’s details. Gina’s Bridal provided the ivory gown in Style BE622 by Kenneth Winston, perfectly encapsulated the Casablanca style with its elegant lace A-line skirt and soft sweetheart neckline.
Cassie’s bouquet, handcrafted by Flowers By Amore-Zina, featured a myriad of jewel-toned flowers including Roses, Delphinium, Sea lavenders, Matthiola, Carnations, Eucalyptus, Tulips, Matsumoto, Limonium, enhancing the overall elegant atmosphere of the scene.
In terms of venue setup, CJ’s Party Rental provided a unique and elegant ambiance. The Damask Chopin Ivory 90×132 tablecloths showcased exquisite gem patterns, adding nobility and sophistication to the scene. The Gold Round Reef 13-inch chargers added a touch of luxury and modernity, perfectly complementing the table linens paired with eggplant napkins, they introduced a deep, elegant hue. The gold flatware created a sense of opulence, elevating the dining experience. Banquet water goblets and champagne glasses completed the picture, enhancing the overall ambiance with a luxurious and refined atmosphere, adding infinite charm to the event.
The exquisite cake, crafted by Gwen from Trifles Dessert, boasted a special touch: a luscious layer of white chocolate fondant delicately adorned with buttercream ruffles. Its charm was elevated by Gwen’s expertly arranged florals, ensuring a captivating sight from all perspectives.
In terms of the invitation details, Minted provided customized options, helping us ensure they matched our tablescape perfectly. This included selecting appropriate fonts, colors, and paper textures, ensuring the invitations were perfectly cohesive with our final look.
Throughout the entire process, we were committed to ensuring every detail that showcased the potential of The Pontiac Transportation Museum as a wedding venue. We look forward to seeing this venue become an ideal location for couples to host their dream weddings and offering them a magical wedding experience. Finally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each vendor for their invaluable contributions and assistance in making this Styled Shoot a success. Thank you for your dedication and creativity!
