Let’s face it, the most expensive part of a wedding is most definitely reception so here are three ways to slim those costs down:

1. The Bar: as important alcohol seems or may seem to be in a wedding, it’s also a good way to cut some costs.  Opt for just a wine and beer bar or if need be a cash bar.
2. The Food:  the nice part about reception venues is that they are pretty flexible with menu and how to serve the food.  A great inexpensive food options is the buffet. You can still serve the food you want but just in a different way.
3. The Decor:  take advantage of the beauty of your reception space by dying down slightly on the decor. Simple things like just flowers or just candlelight can be dramatic enough. As the saying goes, less is more.
