Intern Sherry Exit Interview

  1.           What things did you enjoy about the internship?

I enjoyed the hands-on experience of working on wedding planning, including marketing posts, writing a wedding blog and learning new skills.

   2.        Do you think it was a valuable experience if so why?

Yes, it was incredibly valuable. I gained practical skills in event coordination, learned how to manage timelines and budgets, and improved my communication and problem-solving abilities significantly.

 

  1.           What did you learn about wedding/event planning?

I learned the intricacies of wedding logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiations, and coordinating with various vendors like caterers and florists. I also learned about the importance of attention to detail and adaptability in managing unexpected challenges.

  1.           What was your favorite part of the experience while interning at You’re The Bride?

My favorite part was being involved in the creative process of designing weddings that reflected the couples’ personalities and visions.a It was rewarding to see our plans come to life on the wedding day.

  1.           Is there anything that you disliked about the internship?

While I enjoyed the overall experience, there were occasional stressful moments. I prefer to get the assigned tasks  in written words instead of verbally since it is more clear and efficient when I am doing the task.

  1.           Do you have any suggestions on how to change or make the internship?

One suggestion could be assign the task in written note instead over voxer.

  1.           Do you have any plans to either become a wedding or event planner while working for someone else or starting your own wedding business?

Yes, I really like this industry.

  1. Are you interested in working any weddings with YTB as an Event Assistant in the future to gain more experience for a day rate? (MI student’s only)

  Not in the area

  1. Are you interested in assignments as needed for a flat rate per assignment? This could be preparing wedding blogs, working bridal shows, similar tasks that you did during the internship, etc.*Of course this is on an as needed basis depending on how busy I am in the future and how soon I am able to start the next interns*

  1. List any other comments/feedback you wish to share about your experience. 

It’s been a fun internship during the past three months, and saw many couples get their dream wedding. Happy for them!
