The Jam Handy Detroit ~ Rebecca + Richard 7/11/15

Rebecca and Richard contacted me (Tracie) a few short months before their wedding by finding me via instagram from a photo they saw of the space. They were notified that their previously booked venue was no longer going to be doing weddings and they needed to find a new location stat! When I heard this news I went to work fast to see if the date was available at The Jam Handy and they were in luck! Luckily, the invitations hadn’t been printed yet so it was just a matter of moving a few things around to the new perfect space to have their wedding! They were both happy that I was able to help secure the new location so they could continue with their planing. The couple hired You’re The Bride for Day-of and Rehearsal Coordination for their July wedding.

The YTB Team arrived to The Jam Handy to work on preparing the centerpieces which consisted of hydrangeas in mason jars, setting up cupcakes, programs,  various signs and of course the clothes pin magnets which included the guests table assignments which we arranged on a door for guests to easily find after the ceremony. Later in the evening my staff made popcorn and placed it in cute little boxes for the guests to enjoy!

While YTB Interns Lisa and Lindsay were finishing handling some of the set up details Tracie was busy greeting vendors and going over final details to make sure everything was ready.

The couple rented farm tables and mismatched chairs and benches for their Vintage themed wedding with touches of Detroit brought in including vintage Faygo soda pop bottles!  I thought the paper towel on each table was exactly what the guests were going to need when they enjoyed the Pig Roast and BBQ food for dinner. Brilliant!

The Jam is a very unique and raw space where everything has to be brought in. It is however convenient as it is large enough to offer a separate ceremony area.

The vows!

The new Mr. and Mrs. after their beautiful ceremony!

What an amazing shot taken on Belle Isle at the famous fountain !

Look at them I totally think this one is magazine worthy!

Their beloved dog Max even was part of the festivities!

The dance floor got a little crazy but fun with the Arabic music and the money dance! It was quite fun to watch!

 The First Dance!

The guests getting down on the dance floor!

Congratulations Rebecca and Richard!
