The Latest Trends in Wedding Music Entertainment

If you are about to get married, you are
probably obsessing over planning details. You may be scrambling to find the
best venues and vendors while trying to keep track of your guests, ordering
wedding attire and more.
One major concern will be the type of musical entertainment you want to hire. Of
course, there are tons of cover bands available, but if you want your wedding
to stand out, you want to find a band that is in-line with the latest trends.

Keeping that in mind, here is some of
what we are seeing at today’s chicest weddings.

Hiring a Deejay and a Band:

Many couples might go back and forth on the issue of whether they want a band or a deejay.
Well why not have both?
Deejays are on hand to play in 15 to 20
minute intervals as the band takes breaks. This keeps the atmosphere lively and
it is perfect for couples who want to hear a lot of music at their wedding.

Including Specialty Performance Acts:

A specialty performance act like a dance troupe, can be brought in to perform
while the band plays. They can perform in front or in back of the band while
they play…or both!
These performers will not typically be on
stage for the entire duration of the wedding but may make one appearance or
several periodic appearances.

Boosting the Audio Equipment:

Hiring the best band doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t have great audio equipment. Therefore,
many couples are choosing to use professional audio services for weddings as
opposed to using the venue’s system.

Protocol Dances Are a Thing of the Past:

When at a wedding, bands often plan their set list around protocol dances
including those that occur between the father of the bride and the bride, the
mother of the groom and the groom and the first dance of the newly married
couple.

Today, tradition is going out the window and
bands are adjusting their set lists accordingly.

Cover Bands Adding a New Flair:

We are all used to hearing cover bands playing the same old songs the same old ways.
Today bands are adding their own flair to the music and making it their own.
Some give their music a Latin spin while others incorporate jazzy flavors to give new
life to the tunes they are playing.
If you want your wedding to stand out, a
unique band is a great place to start. Think of the theme of your wedding and
the tone you are trying to set and go from there to find a band that works well
with your celebration. Then, look forward to dancing the night away while
hosting a wedding your guests are sure to remember for years to come.
