Italian American Banquet Hall Livonia ~ Tania + Dan 9/14/13
What a great day it was for this couple so surrounded by love. Everyone was just so excited for their wedding especially Tania’s Mother Maria. I loved working with this family and helping them make everything come together on the long awaited day.
Our Team started at the Italian American Club in Livonia with some setup including table numbers, place cards, favors and overall making sure things were ready for guest arrival. We then headed over to the church and helped the florist put the pew bows on and get altar arrangements and Tania’s unity candle in place.
We did have a few issues to tend to once we were on site. One set of button covers and a pocket square was missing so Rachel and Karoline quickly had the groomsmen share a set since once the jacket is buttoned up and you can’t see them anyways. Rachel remembered we had a color swatch in our planning folder so she grabbed that and tucked it into the groomsmen’s pocket so he would match as closely as possible and not be without one for the pictures.
When the girls arrived I noticed the limo was not very hot so the driver went and got another limo during the ceremony which was great to keep everyone cool. However, the second limo got a flat tire when they were taking pictures after the ceremony so that definitely put dinner and our timeline for the night behind. We did our best to keep things moving to make up for the limo trouble throwing our schedule off. Once the delicious Italian dinner was served everyone was ready to get on the dancefloor to burn off the calories from the pasta! We can’t forget to mention the delectable dessert table at this wedding. Believe me nobody went home hungry!
Tania looked so beautiful and the flowers that she and her girls carried were simply amazing. Her Maid of Honor Candis sang a beautiful song Holy, Holy, Holy during the ceremony which made this event even more memorable with that special touch!
After the ceremony we moved the reception flowers back to the hall where we were able to use
them around the room for additional decor along with the pew bows that were embellished with flowers.
At the end of the night we packed up two vehicles with floral arrangements, gifts, leftover cake, fruit and desserts! They had a great celebration and we were so happy to be part of it!
One of my favorite moments of the day was the reaction on the guests face when they saw instead of a small typical favor that you receive when you go to a wedding that they actually received a wrapped present. I heard several guests talking about how nice the gift was. Are you wondering what it was ? They gave their guests a beautiful inscribed clock with the names and date of the bride and groom. The other side was a place to put a picture. Maria, Tania’s Mom gave me one as a thank you gift and I just love it !
Thank you for choosing us to share in your special day! Congratulations!
