Saint John’s Resort ~ Lucia + Eric 9/16/22

Lucia and Eric are busy medical professionals who wanted to have a fun and classy affair with 200 friends and family but struggled with how to put it all together with very busy schedules while raising three small children. We were happy to have them as our clients and take them through the wedding planning journey. They choose our Full planning Ultimate Collection which included planning of the bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, next-day brunch and the main event of the wedding. We got to know the couple, their family and friends during this experience with the planning and events. It was truly a honor to work with them to create this beautiful time in their lives and memories to last a lifetime.

Lucia and Eric became Mr. and Mrs. on September 16th, 2022 with a ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Pontiac. The You’re The Bride team started their day at Saint John’s Resort for a full action packed day with may moving parts to coordinate from vendor arrivals, styling details, placement of custom paper products, to napkins, candy and much more.

Luana and Tracie departed to head to the church to meet the bridal party there and to coordinate the arrival of wedding guests and getting everyone in the right place to start the ceremony on time. Jaclynn stayed behind to make sure the wedding guests and bridal party got on the shuttles departing to the church. She also tended to the reception details including more set up and trouble-shooting and some behind the scene fixes that our brides never know about until maybe reading this post! This is why it is SO IMPORTANT to have at a minimum at least a coordinator for the day! You need someone in your corner that knows the plans, the brides wishes and can act quickly to fix any issues that come up. She worked hard with the venue staff to get thing corrected and everything in place before guest arrival for the cocktail hour.

The Saint John’s Resort offered a wonderful backdrop to Lucia’s bridal shots before the wedding ceremony.

Eric and the couple’s children pose outside of the Golden Trolley, a unique shuttle provided by Golden Limousine, as they prepare to depart for the ceremony.

The first look is always so special. Lucia’s father escorted her down the aisle on a custom runner with their monogram and date as Eric waits to meet her at the altar.

These couple shots almost look like a painting! Here, the newlyweds get to enjoy the beautiful nature outside the venue while getting a moment to themselves.

The Saint John’s Resort offered such a unique reception space with an Atrium and skylights and a grand staircase for the bridal party and couple to make their entrance into the room for their guests.

The You’re The Bride team took care of making sure the guest tables, chair rentals, place settings, candy, menu cards, charger plates and table runner rentals matched the floorplan and everything had the correct number of items for an ultimate look and guest experience.

From dinner menus to the aisle runner, the gold, navy, and greenery motif made for a captivating atmosphere during Eric and Lucia’s day.

This adorable guestbook allowed guests to customize a wooden heart and turn it into a decorative frame! It was fitting as Eric is a Cardiologist. Lucia and Eric will always have a reminder of everyone who made their day special.

Turning from the ring bearers to little wedding crashers the couple’s three adorable children also got to make their grand entrance at the reception dressed in complete Star Wars attire.
