Couple of The Month ~ Kate + Eric
Eric and Kate met their sophomore year at Western Michigan University. (GO BRONCOS!) They bonded over WMU’s hockey games, hiking, and surviving an 8 AM chemistry class. Eric is a mechanical engineer and Kate is a laboratory supervisor. They have a golden retriever, Charlie, that they love spending weekends at the park with and taking up north. In September 2019, they traveled to California where Eric proposed on the beach in Santa Monica. They spent the rest of their vacation in Yosemite celebrating!
They had to postpone their wedding due to Covid-19 and are happy to finally make it down the aisle this October at the Pine Knob Mansion. They are expecting 150 guests to exchange vows in front of and celebrate after. The bridal party consists of four bridesmaids and four groomsmen. Eric has his brother and three childhood friends standing with him while Kate has a close high school friend, two friends she met when she moved to the metro Detroit area, and Eric’s sister next to her. After almost two years of waiting, they are ready to celebrate and spend the rest of their lives together!
